Sept 2026 Update:

If you've driven along Whitehorse Road between Mount Clear and Sebastopol lately, you'll have noticed the changes.

According to Victory Minerals' latest Environmental Review Committee report, and recent discussion with a Resources Victoria representative, earthworks currently being carried out include:

Site drainage: includes a sediment dam to capture surface water runoff to protect the Yarrowee River from contamination.
TSF4 under construction: for storage of tailings after gold extraction.
Visual amenity screen: an earthen bund planted with "…15,000 native plants, comprising a mix of trees, shrubs, tube stock and hydroseeding…" to enhance visual amenity.
For rehabilitation: soil retention for mine site rehabilitation.
